The Tryst aims to deliver a stereo 2A3 power amplifier in a compact package with a compact price that doesn't compromise on performance.  Many 2A3 amplifiers suffer in the driver department due to the unusually low B+ voltage generally used with the 2A3 tube, but we overcome this limitation by using a constant current source loaded high mu triode (6211).  This avoids substantial coloration from the driver while also providing good isolation from the power supply.  The 2A3 uses AC heating with a fine hum pot adjustment to optimize the noise floor when tubes are exchanged.  Long life capacitors are provided for the power supply, and premium coupling caps are included.
